Grandma Bylund's Apple Crisp

7-8 cups apples, peeled, sliced and cored
Place apples in buttered baking dish (Grandma Rhea always just did these in a pot on the stove so that would work too.)

Sprinkle over the top of the apples and toss:
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Pour down sides of the dish:
1/4 cup orange juice

In a mixing bowl, stir together the following until crumbly:
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup margarine, softened
pinch of salt

Sprinkle the top of apples. Bake in oven at 350 degrees until bubbly and apples are soft. (If cooking on a stovetop, cook on medium/ high until bubbly then reduce the heat to low, cover and cook until apples are soft through.) Serve warm with ice cream.
